Jesus Christ could not have been just a "great prophet" or "good man" who lived 2000 years ago. Take it from C.S. Lewis: (wouldn't this be a good argument to present to Jehovah's Witnesses who deny Jesus as fully God?)

I LOVE Lewis! This quote is great. Are you starting to dive into his writing (besides Narnia)?

No not really Ange. Can you recommend any one in particular? i started reading one a long time ago but couldn't get into it.
Three titles off the top of my head are:
1) Mere Christianity- I think your quote comes from that. It's a practical defense of Christianity.
2) The Screwtape Letters- excellent! Written as a fictional account between a lower demon to a higher demon asking advice about how to keep the man he is in charge of from becoming a Christian
3)The Great Divorce- very interesting; a fictional account of people from hell that visit heaven....it sounds crazy and some of it is obviously not true (and Lewis knows that), and yet there are deep underlying truths in it.

I'm reading Mere Christianity right now. Read Screwtape Letters, A Grief Observed, and The Space Trilogy books. I'll have to read The Great Divorce. I guess I'm on a CS Lewis binge. lol

Read Out of the Silent Planet for sure... The rest of the space trilogy is tough going, but if you like sci-fi it's worth it. And The Four Loves is definitely worthwhile as well
